Ideas and Process

This is a log of what I’ve done, and thought about. Any new ideas are documented here as well as what I’m doing / done / next steps.

August 10

Created the pre-production plans. Current next step is to get in touch with Dazzy, Maya, and Stephen about the services we want to cover. Then get in touch with those services. After that I need to get in touch with those services. I suggest SLD, Campus Watch, and ITS. Maya suggests Unicrew as well, which tells nicely into the volunteer roles as discussed in the feedback evening.

August 12

Characters will contain suspects, an architect, a villain / minion, and an insider. Each of these roles will be played by different people and by writing the story as generic roles they may fit anyone. The likes of Dazzy and Maya have their own roles which are unique to them.

Create a brief that can be put into all emails about the game.

August 16

After things have started to get suspicious there should be a board in Locals HQ showing links between suspects and evidence. This will help to keep awareness high, and visualize the evidence.

September 24

The insider knows who the villain is. The insider knows that there is an architect but not who it is. All clue could come from the villain trying to implicate others, and the insider trying to tell everyone else who it is. If the insider comes clean though, the architect could implicate them as well.

What’s to stop the architect dragging in another person? If people are made aware of an architect then the bad stuff might happen to the villain. The architect may come clean, or may contact us. Once it has been made clear that we know the villain didn’t do it they might try to bargain or back pedal.
