Stress can be beneficial. It means we study for exams and go to work.

Drinking

  • Talk about drinking - slow down. Too much too quickly. Try not to promote alcohol abuse.

Drugs

Cannabis is still illegal. Never allowed in the university. Law and Proctor. MDMA use really prevalent. They are going to use it anyway, tell them to be safe. Analog drugs (synthetics) are around and don’t always have the intended effects.

Self Harm

  • Presents in many, many ways.
  • If you are not in a position to help the person, then support the people around the people.

Suicide

Be Direct when talking about suicide.

    • Mental health driven

Asking if someone is suicidal will not make them suicidal
