Things to remember:
- Give two weeks before events to advertise
- The notice board was abandoned too early and din’t show really useful stuff. Too much clutter, not enough commitment.
- Leaders need to all be enthusiastic about events
- Go above and beyond to promote events - dress up, decorate, etc. Leader buy in correlates to student buy in (hopefully)
- Don’t flood facebook too often with event
- Make sure everyone contributes at least the bare minimum
Pit falls:
- Coordinate with other teams what needs to be posted. Make sure no flooding the accounts with too much information.
- Facebook may only invite friends if a non-admin creates an event.
- Posters might blend in to the room / not pop enough
- Not giving enough time
Things that went really well:
- Magnanimous Monday Mooting - Got people engaged and talking on Monday mornings
