Chocolate Cake

Original Recipe Ingredients 1 Tbsp instant coffee granules 3/2 cup 2 cups White Sugar 1 3/4 cups plain flour 3/4 cup cocoa powder 2 tsp vanilla essence 2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 eggs 1 1/4 cups milk 1/2 cup oil Directions Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 23-25cm cake tin with baking paper. Dissolve the coffee granules in water, then place all ingredients into a food processor and process until well combined and smooth. Pour the mixture into the cake tin. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack and when completely cold, ice with chocolate icing. Optionally cut cake in half and fill with chocolate mouss Note: This is a very runny mixture - don’t be alarmed the first time you make it.

Banana Pudding with Butterscotch Sryup

Original Recipe Ingredients Pudding 125g Anchor Original butter 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 2 ripe bananas, mashed 200g Anchor Protein+ Plain Yoghurt 200g flour, sifted 1 1/4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda Butterscotch syrup 2/3 cup Anchor Cream 3/4 cup brown sugar 50g Anchor Original butter, cubed To serve Tip Top Vanilla Ice Cream 1/2 cup pecan nuts, chopped Directions Preheat oven to 170°C. Grease and line a 22cm springform tin. Beat butter and sugar until pale and creamy. Add eggs one at time beating well after each addition. Fold in the mashed bananas and yoghurt, then sifted flour, baking powder, and baking soda until just combined. Spoon mixture into prepared tin and bake for 40-50 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Stand for 5-10 minutes then remove cake from the tin and place it on a wire rack while you make the syrup. To make the butterscotch syrup place the cream, sugar and butter in a medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat for 5 minutes or until well combined. Boil another 5 minutes at a low heat until thickened slightly. Serve with icecream. Poke slices a few times with skewers and pour warm syrup over. Top with pecans.

Ingredients 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie 115 g unsalted butter 25 g all-purpose flour 60 ml water 100 g white sugar 110 g packed brown sugar 8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced Directions Original Recipe Preheat oven to 220 degrees C. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, white sugar and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer. Place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples, mounded slightly. Cover with a lattice work crust. Gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does not run off. Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the temperature to 175 degrees C. Continue baking for 35 to 45 minutes, until apples are soft.
